The Savannah Workshop: Kandi's Kreations Since 2012

A passion project at the kitchen table in 2012, a dedicated workshop in 2020, and a design school today. How Kandi's Kreations came to be what it is.

Everything on this site, the one-of-a-kind wreaths, the easel, the tutorials and the Kreative Krew, comes out of one workshop in Savannah, Georgia, and one designer. This is the short version of how it got here, told with the facts Kandi tells herself: 2012, 2020, and today.

2012: the kitchen table

Kandi Jung is a wife, a mom, a designer and a creative entrepreneur, in roughly that order of arrival. In 2012, wreath making was a passion project at the kitchen table: a deep love for home décor, wreath making and all things DIY, applied to her own front door and then to friends' doors. It turned into a handmade seasonal business the way these things do, one wreath at a time, until the kitchen table was not enough.

In her own words, wreath making began as a creative outlet and over time became something much deeper. Growing a business while raising a family taught her patience, consistency and the value of creating space for creativity to grow without pressure. Those three words, patience, consistency and space, are still how she teaches.

2020: the workshop

In 2020, with the support of her husband, Kandi built a dedicated workshop. That is the year the business changed shape. A dedicated space meant she could design and teach full time, hold supplies for every season at once, and film. It is also where the Wreath Making Easel came from: years of building wreaths by hand and being frustrated with every stand available led to designing her own, a solid wood, foldable easel that holds a base at the angle it will hang. It is patent pending, and it ships from the workshop.

The workshop is where every wreath in the shop is built and photographed, and where the live sessions for the design school are filmed. Buyers who follow along on social media see it regularly: new designs, live builds and behind-the-scenes from the Savannah workshop.

Today: the Krew

The design school is the part that grew out of teaching. Kandi cannot build a wreath for everyone who wants one, so she teaches, and today she is honored to teach inside her online design school, where she guides women step by step through creating beautiful wreaths and front-door décor.

The Kreative Krew is the school: new live instruction every week, live Q&A, the full pre-recorded vault, six working designers each teaching her own specialty, Etsy and business guidance, and a private community built on encouragement and shared progress rather than comparison. Inside the Kreative Krew describes a normal week, and meet the Krew instructors covers the team.

Around the school sit the free resources, the Intro to Wreath Making mini course and the free guides on shipping and email lists, and the Krew retreats, hands-on weekends in Savannah taught by Kandi and the instructors.

Savannah

Kandi is based in Savannah, where, as she puts it, life moves with the seasons, and that rhythm has shaped how she designs and how she teaches. It shows in the collections: a long fall, a short winter, an early spring, a hot summer, each with its own pieces. It shows in the workshop calendar, which runs a season ahead of the door. And it shows in the details buyers outside Georgia sometimes notice: a covered porch is assumed, the sun is taken seriously, and a fall wreath is built to look like fall before the weather agrees.

What has not changed

Every wreath is still made once, by hand, by Kandi. She still answers her own messages through the contact page. And the goal she states on the about page is the same one from the kitchen table: to help you bring warmth, personality and joy into your home through something you created yourself, whether you are here to shop, to learn or to grow.
